Senior Manager GME Electrification
Role within the organization:
Dr. Christian Kunstmann was appointed Senior Manager GME Electrification in 2011 and is responsible for the development and application of hybrid and electric Propulsion Systems at GM Europe.
Bio:
Christian Kunstmann started his career at General Motors in 1999 as Development Engineer for Fuel Cell Vehicles. In 2005 he became Engineering Group Manager for Fuel Cell System Engineering. In addition, he took over responsibility for HydroGen4 fleet operations in Europe in 2008. In 2010 Dr. Christian Kunstmann assumed responsibility of Assistant Chief Engineer Opel Electric Vehicles until he was recently appointed Senior Manager GME Electrification.
Christian Kunstmann completed his Diploma Degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1993. During his studies he won the official title of World Champion in Solar Powered Vehicles with a team of students in 1990. In 1999 he received his Doctoral degree at the Technical University of Darmstadt in the field of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies.
